Perhaps you do this too: I collect recipes from magazines.
Jumbled in with my cook books are crumpled pages torn from magazines each containing recipes that struck my fancy at one time or another. One such recipe is South American Casserole, an odd name for a recipe that was neither a casserole nor indicative of South American Cuisine.
Rediscovering this recipe few months ago, inspired me. It was one of those situations where the magazine picture looked better than the recipe tasted: so I got to work.
My First Slow Food Festival

It’s official now. I’ve experienced my first Burren Slow Food Festival. John’s photos are starting to go up on Slow Food Clare and Facebook. So this seems like a good time to write about my experience.

Just shy of a year ago, I was looking for a way to channel some of my excess energy. In previous years, it was easily depleted by each day’s teaching. So, I volunteered to volunteer and was told about Slow Food Clare.
